| Matthieu 20:1 - Car le royaume des cieux est semblable à un maître de maison qui sortit dès le matin, afin de louer des ouvriers pour sa vigne. | Matthew 20:1 - For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard. |
| Matthieu 20:2 - Et quand il eut accordé avec les ouvriers à un denier par jour, il les envoya à sa vigne. | Matthew 20:2 - And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. |
| Matthieu 20:3 - Il sortit vers la troisième heure, et il en vit d'autres qui étaient sur la place sans rien faire. | Matthew 20:3 - And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace, |
| Matthieu 20:4 - Il leur dit: Allez aussi à ma vigne, et je vous donnerai ce qui sera raisonnable. Et ils y allèrent. | Matthew 20:4 - And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way. |
| Matthieu 20:5 - Il sortit de nouveau vers la sixième heure et vers la neuvième, et il fit de même. | Matthew 20:5 - Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise. |
| Matthieu 20:6 - Et étant sorti vers la onzième heure, il en trouva d'autres qui étaient sur la place, et il leur dit: Pourquoi vous tenez-vous ici toute la journée sans rien faire? | Matthew 20:6 - And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle? |
| Matthieu 20:7 - Ils lui répondirent: C'est que personne ne nous a loués. Allez aussi à ma vigne, leur dit-il. | Matthew 20:7 - They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive. |
| Matthieu 20:8 - Quand le soir fut venu, le maître de la vigne dit à son intendant: Appelle les ouvriers, et paie-leur le salaire, en allant des derniers aux premiers. | Matthew 20:8 - So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first. |
| Matthieu 20:9 - Ceux de la onzième heure vinrent, et reçurent chacun un denier. | Matthew 20:9 - And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny. |
| Matthieu 20:10 - Et quand les premiers furent venus, ils croyaient recevoir davantage, mais ils reçurent, eux aussi, chacun un denier. | Matthew 20:10 - But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. |

| Matthieu 20:12 - disant: Ces derniers n'ont travaillé qu'une heure, et tu les as faits égaux à nous qui avons porté le faix du jour et la chaleur. | Matthew 20:12 - Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. |
| Matthieu 20:13 - Il répondit à l'un d'eux: Mon ami, je ne te fais pas tort; n'es-tu pas convenu avec moi d'un denier? | Matthew 20:13 - But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? |
| Matthieu 20:14 - Prends ce qui te revient, et va-t'en. Je veux donner à ce dernier autant qu'à toi. | Matthew 20:14 - Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee. |
| Matthieu 20:15 - Ne m'est-il pas permis de faire de mon bien ce que je veux? Ou vois-tu de mauvais oeil que je sois bon? - | Matthew 20:15 - Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? |
| Matthieu 20:16 - Ainsi les derniers seront les premiers, et les premiers les derniers, car il y a beaucoup d'appelés, mais peu d'élus. | Matthew 20:16 - So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. |
